Third largest software exporter in India, HCL Tech said that it has appointed Roshni Nadar Malhotra as chairperson. Her father and HCL founder Shiv Nadar will step down as chairman but will continue to be the Managing Director and Chief Strategy Officer of the company
In 2013, Roshni Nadar Malhotra was appointed as an additional director on HCL Tech’s board. This came four years after she was appointed on the board of HCL Corp, which is the holding company of HCL Technologies and HCL Infosystems. In an interview to ET NOW after the earnings, CEO C Vijayakumar said this was part of the succession planning exercise.
Roshni Nadar grew up in Delhi and graduated with a Master’s in Business Administration from Kellogg. She has been closely involved on the philanthropy side over the last decade. she is also chairperson of VidyaGyan Leadership Academy, which empowers underprivileged children through education.
